The history of the Danish rattan furniture manufacturer Sika Design begins in the 1940s when Ankjaer Andreasen founded Sika Mobler in the vicinity of Skanderborg. Collaboration with the best basket weavers and the perfection of this craft gave the brand the hallmarks that it still has today: comfort, quality and design. Meanwhile, the company is run by the third generation; furniture is made in Indonesia where rattan grows naturally and basket weaving has a great tradition as a craft.
